The 18-hole "Shadow Hawk" course at the Shadow Hawk Golf Club facility in Richmond, Texas features 7,207 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 74.7 and it has a slope rating of 133 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Rees Jones, ASGCA, the Shadow Hawk golf course opened in 1999. The exclusiveness of Shadow Hawk is a direct result of the quality and integrity of our existing Members. We are proud of the commitment to privacy, camaraderie, facilities and service, and strive to maintain these characteristics that define Shadow Hawk Golf Club as one of the premier private clubs in Houston. Rees Jones layout holds to the themes of a number of highly regarded old style courses: clarity of target, subtle challenges, artistic bunkering, variety in shape and length of holes, ample fairways with smallish greens, in a very natural setting. Because of Mr. Jones work, Shadow Hawk was recognized in 2000, its first full year of operation, by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the top ten best new private courses in America. A note from Patient Housing Assistance: Patient Housing Assistance (PHA) is a Houston based 501c3 organization dedicated in providing financial assistance to patients traveling to the Texas Medical Center. After identifying the need for housing assistance and personally interacting with families who could not afford the cost of lodging along with treatment, PHA was formed. Many of these patients chose to forgo much needed, and in some cases life-saving, treatment due to financial constraints of lodging during treatment and their stay in Houston. Patient Housing Assistance was created to help offset housing expenses, so patients can focus on their cure and not the pressure of housing costs. Proceeds from this auction will benefit traveling patients with lodging expenses!
